Left this lacking for quite a bit so am gonna do a bulk post (if there really is a point anymore) =P

KL was a bit of a whirlwind of shoots, most pleasant but one very unpleasant (ugh), another stint for Rebellz with two separate shoots for Joe Low and Jason Tan, and finally a makeup shoot with Kenny Yee and his perfect natural makeup.

Had to skip out on quite alot of shoots this time around due to scheduling and me having no time, summer always passes by too quickly. But I'll get all of them yet, before I'm old!

First shoot in Canberra for 2010 involved the awesome Vamp Tran, a newcomer to Canberra but no doubt a genius in his field.

had dear Kylie Bersinic for our makeup, with styling by me. Clearly I'm not the best at it, but I tried =P

In the back alleys of Civic, with a drunk bum somewhere and restaurant staff chilling out back.

Next up, the amazingness of Dave Reid, Robert Coppa and Amy Hungerford.

It's been awhile since I've worked with Dave's magic, so this was a lucky chance as Rob caught him at the last minute. Amy's a whiz at her designs, I'll be doing her next collection in June and will be working with Robert again =)

Just some tweaking on my hair and Dave makes it look all different.

Totally loving this eye makeup.

Paris again!

I went to Sydney to work with Paris again, a test shoot for an online clothing store. It was a more demure shoot which was more the style of the designer. Set in a gorgeous mansion in I don't know where in Sydney, with Sarah Evans as the MUA and hair again, and Sam Denise as the stylist.

The hat I'm wearing is too awesome and I want it. On the other hand, the pants didn't fit me well but still, I think it turned out reasonably well.

I loved the setting so I asked to do like 10 shots of my own poses.

Edmund Chiu!

So a few months ago, had a shoot with Edmund Chiu, wearing Viktoria Novak's designer headpieces.

It was originally supposed to be a fashion shoot, but somehow it turned out to be glamour. I don't usually do glamour, but hey ECP makes anything look good.

Not really my style, but still good fun.

Here are just a couple of teasers, I'm actually doing this because I'm bored studying haha.

Next update will be ASHLEY SCOTT'S! yay new pics with Ash again, the first this semester. I'm excited =)

Paris! in Sydney.

Lol, so this set is from Paris, a photographer/chameleon in Sydney. MUA is Sarah Evans, and this was done with 2 hours sleep the night before because I had to catch early flights and stuff.

Wonderful people, but unfortunately we lost half the photos due to memory card transfer problems on their computer. Bah.

David Yeow and I have been talking for 2 years now, we have common friends. We've somehow dodged each other geographically despite both of us being from Malaysia, and both of us being in Australia, with me in Canberra and him in Melbourne.

Always planned to work together some day in the future. And finally it worked out a couple of weeks ago =)

He's amazing, and though I feel I did not perform to the best of my abilities unfortunately, hopefully people will still see SOME good in the pics.

Just because I havent updated in a long long while, here are the glassworks images from Julie G =) I havent gotten the CD yet, but woohoo to having some new pics. Been busy with uni and everything that I havent had new shots in..... a long time..

Boo I'm bored.

will be heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland in a month, so tell all. would wanna meet new people and work with them, though time would be tight, I would love to squeeze a shoot or two in.

As I've said before, the styling here was amazing thanks to Viktoria. I loved the black outfit I was wearing.

Exam season babes, call me once it's over on the 25th of June. Mel is raring to get her ass in a studio or location.

Stuart Miller!

So Jacqui had an awesome collaboration with Stuart Miller last Thursday and she chose Leeroy and I to be her models.

It was gonna be an autumn type, leaves flying everywhere while the models hold strong against the wind type of shot.

Makeup and hair was done at my apartment, with Sheryn as our hairstylist =)

My apartment has been somewhat of a setting up ground for shoots nowadays, which I love considering I don't have to actually move till we start shooting.

Stuart's shooting style is somewhat different from what I'm used to, but I know the shots that come off it will be amazing, that man is a genius.

We shot from a lower level throughout the shoot, which left Lee and I with thighs and knees that were beggging for mercy. But of course, TOTALLY worth the shot and I'm in no way complaining. Heck I'd do it all over again.

Ash was assisting on this one, along with a whole bunch off people who sadly I did not go around meeting.

The process, from the makeup and hair at my apartment, to the location and the shoot was filmed by Rob, and may or may not be aired on Channel Vision on Fox. That's what I've been told.

I'm honoured to have had the opportunity to work with Stuart, and oh so thankful to Jacqui for choosing me as her model. Best way to spend a Thursday I reckon =)

Yet another fruitful day at the studio with the amazing Dave Reid and Stan B. Within hours I have images, thanks to Stan's diligence.

3 different looks for today, (3 &1/2 technically). Face is raw. And tired before I even got to the studio.

Met a Sydney model, Izzy D who flew in from Sydney with her mum, Erica, specially for Dave. I felt like a giant beside Izzy because she is tinnnnnnnyyyyy... Dave said I was a big Asian (gasp!) but that's true I reckon in terms of modelling, love that I have new motivation to shed the pounds.

Ali Price came along after her Anzac Day stuff with her hubby, but sadly had to leave before she could do a look on me.

Dave made all the outfits again, gorgeous eh?

Especially this yellow kimono which I now own =P thank you Dave!!

Super tired now. Took the longest shower to wash all that hairspray out. But TOTALLY worth it. No question about it.

And this does not need saying, but I'll say it anyway. Dave = Superstar!

PS: Please don't judge my cheeks. They'll be slimmer soon hopefully. 4kgs do show up in photos

More Brickworks

Picked up the CD from Jacqui yesterday, got the rest of the Brickworks shoot. Though I reckon the best was the one I got weeks earlier.

The hair Sheryn gave me took... 4 hours to comb out. I was exhausted..

But pictures are so worth it =)

And Sheryn has been so nice, every shoot after this one she give me a less cruel hairstyle to deal with after the shoot. You're the best Sheryn =)

and just because this is my favourite, I have to put it up twice! ta-DAH!!!

Death by Fashion

This is another shoot for Ashley's folio, done weeks ago in a studio. The theme was death by fashion, hence nooses, and lots of crazy wardrobe.

Personally I loved what I was wearing, though of course there was no way I would wear it out, but somehow the outfit doesnt look as awesome in a picture.

Jacqui fashioned freaky deeky eyebrows, makeup that actually covers my troublesome eyebrows with the twitch =) But I love my daddy's eyebrows, even though I'm sure EVERY makeup artist hates them and wants to get rid of them. Sorry guys, thanks for putting up with me =)

Stylist is of course =) Viktoria Novak. You can kinda tell by the hats haha. This was the first time I was working with her.

On every Scott siblings shoot there will be - junk food. Yay! I appreciate it. No matter how bad it is supposed to be. They bring fruit too, but hell I'm not gonna gain weight within the next hour so screw the fruit for now.

On a side note : the noose was itchy. Ashley brought rope and then the rest of them proceeded to learn how to tie a noose while Ashley went to set up. How morbid is this, actually googling "how to tie a noose".

And no we weren't put in any danger. No models were harmed in the making of the pictures.

Rockstars & Royalty Jewellery Shoot

Rockstars & Royalty is a one woman show, namely Vicky who designs gorgeous couture bridal gowns and her own jewellery.

I put on 4 kgs in the past week so I have more cheeks, boo, but I still love this teaser photo that Jules of Capturing Essence gave us today.

Makeup was by Jacqui Scott, and hair was by..... NO ONE! I felt awkward without a hair stylist. Sucks to have flat hair =( lol

Carly was the other model, she brought Monty her 10 year old Labrador. Love him and his dopey big lumbering body, I miss my dog !! The best part of the day was the army of dogs we had to wrestle through moving between the house and the studio. I wish I have pictures of them but oh well, sucks to be the kind of person who never bothers with a camera.

Next shoot scheduled is Saturday with Dave Reid & Stan B again!! woooooeeeeeeeee

I had a fun shoot yesterday with Ali Price, Julie G and Viktoria Novak.

I've wanted to work with Ali since last year and finally had a chance to when she roped me in for this shoot at Canberra Glassworks. Canberra Glassworks is open to the public where you can actually watch the glass making process (not the factory produced one, the actual blowing one).

There were two other models on this as well, Julia Price and Aracely. To my impression or what I can configure from the instructions, it was supposed to be a sorta more "real women" setting instead of a fashion shoot.

I may have slipped on that, I was consciously trying to stay within safe demure poses instead of my usual "poses you wouldn't do in public cos ppl will think you're full of yourself" poses, my high fashion stunts. But yeah pretty sure I threw in a whole buncha that in as well, I couldn't resist with the awesome styling by Viktoria, and the bouncy big curls by Sheryn, I was dying to rock it.

As the glassworks place was open to public, what more on a Sunday, there was quite a number of people hanging around. We had a corner to ourselves but occasionally people have to walk through the corridor thingy we were using.

I didn't mind cos they were mostly family and stuff, but what really got on my nerves was this a*****e who had a camera on him and was secretly snapping photos of us. He thinks he's being really discrete acting like he's not taking pictures but he's using an SLR first of all, with the whole "click click" sounds that it makes it's so obvious.

I go into full defense mode as usual, turn back to him, face never in view of the camera. I tell the others about it and they become wary as well.

One of my biggest pet peeves are morons like that. Taking photos without permission. In the past I've walked straight up to them with the bitchiest face I can pull, demanded to look through their camera, looked for my images and instructed them to delete in front of me cos I certainly did not give permission for them to take pictures of me. In times like these I get really angry and lose most of my sense of fear around strangers.

But well eventually that dude left after the whole crew behaved like they were not comfortable with what he was doing. Yes, take the hint how dense can you be.

That was the only thing that spoiled the day.

After that it was all good, Viktoria (the stylist and who made the hats) took pictures with her camera for behind the scenes shots.

My curls were virtually indestructable so no matter how much hats Viktoria puts on me, they still bounce back good as new. It was such a pity washing them out at the end of the day, I miss them, they were so cute and when you dance with them they'll bounce alone and make everything look twice as cute.

It was such a pleasure to spend the day with these people, I became aware at one point that it was such a girly atmosphere, I loved it. Viktoria's partner was there as well, he was there to help her out and was so patient, as usual he had to do the reflector stuff. I always feel bad for people who have to hold reflectors and flashes just because they're the extra hands on the set. So thank you!

Photos will be out in a few weeks. Can't wait =)

Dave Reid & Stan B !

First things first.

Dave Reid = Amazing
I was thrilled that he was willing to work with me, he's a frigging one man show, he can do absolutely anything!!

Makeup, styling was done by him on this shoot, and he roped in Stan B of Studiovogue for this shoot.

Stan's a wonderful photographer, quality in every shot. He's been doing this for years and it's so great, almost effortless to work with such an experienced photographer. I like how his studio is full of props =) Fur, feather boas, accessories, whole buncha chairs and couches, that place just sparks everyone's creativity.

Dave made the kimono for this shoot!! He designs clothing as well, on top of being a makeup artist, hair stylist, I don't know what else but pretty much everything creative imagineable.

Am I singing praises too much for everyone? Well it's cos they deserve it.

This used to be some Tibetan head piece thing, and Dave made it into THIS! with fresh flowers from his own garden

And of course everyone's favourite, the vampire shots!!

I was made up to be very white, it came off so well in the photos but I doubt I would willingly walk out into the world with that much white on me. The fake blood was too cool, but it sucks to have it taken off cos you need rubbing alcohol.

Anyway, the theme was Asian vampire, although it started off quite innocently without the blood. Like thiss........

Big smiles to them for including me in work for Ash's folio. Ash's vision and capabilities never fail to amaze me.

Canberra, home of amazing talent

This is my last year in Canberra, my final year of uni. Since I've been here my career model wise has gone dead save for those little months in Kuala Lumpur. Right up until August of last year, when Model Mayhem entered my life.

WHO KNEW that Canberra had such amazing people to work with. All you really need is to find and break that barrier. Since then, I've had the BEST experiences to date in working with people in the fashion industry. The photos goes to show. The best part is the close knit community where everyone knows everyone within this creative hot bed.

Thanks to all the wonderful people I've worked with in the past 6 months. You guys are amazing and I appreciate the encouragement I've received. This shall henceforth hopefully be my way of showcasing my work, since my Mayhem account allows 20 pictures =P and to thank all the people involved!
